etc., Footwear and footwear components like shoes, shoe uppers, soles
etc., leather garments, leather gloves, leather saddlery goods, leather
travel bags and totes, leather purses, wallets, briefcases etc. The
major production centers for leather and leather products are located
at Chennai, Ambur, Ranipet, Vaniyambadi, Trichy, Dindigul in Tamil Nadu,
Calcutta in West Bengal, Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Jallandhar in Punjab,
Delhi, Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh and Bangalore in Karnataka.

in view of its massive potential for employment, growth and exports.
